Nacre is an installation by Pulpo Collective that premiered at Vivid Sydney Festival in 2018, taking inspiration from the many shell middens found during excavations of Sydney’s Barangaroo precinct.
Tide data previously recorded was used to generate visuals using ProtoPixel Create and then transferred to ProtoPixel Player for autonomous control of the installation. A ProtoPixel Controller was used to interface with the lights.
