ProtoPixel has been the technology behind the impressive installation (IN) MATERIAL by APDI, presented in DHub as part of the Festival Llum Barcelona 2018 program.
The installation plays with transparency and materialization generating visual connection between the interior and exterior and different readings as the observer's point of view changes, from the farthest perspective to the most immersive vision.
(IN) Material was made by weaving almost 5000 linear meters of translucent wires tied to metal profiles in which digital RGB LED strips have been installed and controlled pixel by pixel by ProtoPixel technology.
