To promote its last generation E-Tron electric car line, Audi put together a pop-up escape room using ProtoPixel to create a unique futuristic appearance, including ambient and interactive lighting. Participants are transported into the office of a scientist who disappeared and are tasked with discovering where he can be found. Robotic arms, holograms, advanced mechanics and projection mapping were other tools used in the escape room, giving the participants a preview of where cars are heading in the next decade.
The ProtoPixel ecosystem allows to dynamically control over 24,000 RGB pixels using five ProtoPixel Controllers and one ProtoPixel Node. As the e-tron escape room itinerates among different cities, all the lighting setups and configurations remain stored in the ProtoPixel cloud service.
