Giving Life to an Interactive Atrium for a University

The Core School is the Educational Hub of international reference for professionals in the audiovisual leisure and entertainment industry. It is located in Madrid, the largest audiovisual hub in Europe. Specialized training created based on the real needs of the major players in the entertainment and fiction content industry.In mid-2021, Ignasi Llauradó, CEO & Creative Director of Dear design Studio, contacted ProtoPixel with the main of illuminating and enlivening the atrium of the school in an interactive, dynamic and youthful way.
The scope of the Atrium installation comprises 3 types of luminaires (short vertical, long vertical, and L-shape luminaires) controlled by a Gate SPI Wired Gate SPI Wired Long-Range and Brain Experience (the installation brain). The 3 types of luminaires comprise digital LED profiles that allow the creation of lighting effects.
In terms of moods and lighting content, we used ProtoPixel Mapping Tool to carry out 6 different styles with which we could achieve a unique and singular atmosphere that could be easily changed through our Spaces App.
