ORA - an exhibition on dynamic lighting objects.

Paris, France, 2026

At Protopixel, we love seeing lighting visions come to life with our tools. , created by the talented duo and , is a prime example of this creative synergy. They developed a collection of washi paper sculptures that become animated through precisely choreographed light sequences built with Protopixel, creating a living composition that evolves before the viewer’s eyes.
“Ora” explores dynamic colored light as a medium of emotional and spatial expression. By combining ephemeral sculptures made of Japanese washi paper with Protopixel advanced dynamic lighting technology, the installation demonstrates how subtle shifts in color can transform both atmosphere and perception.
“Ora” treats colored light as a medium for emotional and spatial expression—a concept that lies at the core of Protopixel. Here, we align with Arthur and Louis in our research into how light shapes perception, influences mood, and defines atmosphere. “Ora” exemplifies this shared vision perfectly.

For "Ora", we needed to work across scales simultaneously, from a single lamp to the choreography of an entire room, synchronizing a large number of light sources into a cohesive installation. Working with colored light, the smallest changes in intensity, saturation, or hue make a significant difference in how colors mix and contrast within a space. Being able to see those effects in real time allowed us to iterate and fine-tune our work right up until the last minute.
