Making Torre Glòries a Giant Interactive Canvas

Within the framework of the Llum Bcn 2022 Festival, the ProtoPixel team developed a very powerful idea that led to the first interactive installation to design and control the lighting of the façade of the imposing Torre Glòries through our technology.The intervention Mix & Match put in the hands of thousands of people the possibility of drawing anything on the skin of the city's iconic landmark. Controlled by tablets through the Mapping Tool, the façade of the Tower became during the 3 days of the festival an unmissable attraction for the public who went to the Poblenou neighborhood, the urban venue of the massive event.
Since 2011, thanks to , the company that owns the emblematic building designed by the prestigious architect Jean Nouvel, ProtoPixel has provided the technology and professional services for the lighting of the Tower, designing each and every one of the dozens of animations that have been seen over the years.
